So many lovely customers have asked how the business is faring during these uncertain times. We're grateful for their support, and would like to reassure them that we're not going anywhere!
But we do need to adapt to the new normal. It's going to be a while before we can squeeze people in next to each other for post-rowing brunches, working lunches, and tea parties.
We have adapted the set up of the shop, and are now open for takeaways every day from 7.30am to 3pm, with measures in place to allow social distancing and to minimise points of contact, for the well being of both customers and staff.
We are also adjusting our offering in order to respond to the shift in customer demand. Every morning we have a big pile of freshly baked pastries, loaves of brown sourdough bread, boxes of eggs, bags of flour, and breakfast cookies, granola bars, banana bread and much more, alongside our takeaway coffees, teas and healthy smoothies and juices.
So you can grab some nice treats to liven up your home office!
And come lunchtime, we have a range of sourdough sandwiches and bagels, ready to pick up and take home, or maybe take to your favourite outside spot.
And as always, we have lots of homemade cakes, and brownies, muffins and all sorts of sweet treats, including gluten-free and vegan opions.
We also have some beautiful greeting cards, with scenes of the river painted by a local artist. As well as our Bean Cycling postcards amongst others. If you've been meaning to get in touch with someone you haven't seen for an age, why not write them a quick note they can enjoy receiving in the post.
Whatever makes your day at home more enjoyable - a smooth flat white, some flour to do a bit of baking, or a gooey tuna melt, we hope you'll stop by on your daily wander.
